What’s the best gas rebate card?
I’ve been on a quest to find the best gas rebate card on the planet. And there are a few good contenders like the Discover Open Road Card and the Chase Perfect Card. There are also two cards not marketed as gas cards that also make a strong case for number one, and those are the American Express Blue Cash Card and the Chase Freedom Card. The thing is to figure out what the catch with each card is… and don’t be fooled, there’s always a catch.
For example, with some cards, the large rebate doesn’t kick in until you’ve spent a certain amount of money on the card. For others, you’re limited to just a few hundred dollars each month that you can get a rebate on so the maximum rebate you can get for any month is less than $20. You’d think with how profitable credit cards are, that credit card companies would have better terms, but even when they come up with a good idea, they love their small print to take all that good they’ve promised away.
