Alcohol was Robbing me of my Willpower
I can tell you from personal experience that it is difficult to recognize alcoholism symptoms. Several forms of alcoholism runs in my family. Yes, I said it runs in my family. There is a chemical imbalance that was discovered a few years ago due to my own addiction that brought this to light. I knew my father was an alcoholic, but when my brother, sister, fell victim to alcohol, I had to really watch my drinking. I thought I was controlling myself when I realized that I had no willpower to even get out of bed. I thought I was just depressed, but after some treatment, it was discovered that even though I didn’t drink as much as my family, I still had become an alcoholic. I, along with my brother and sister attend meetings together, we sponsor others, and sometimes each other. I am sleeping better, and I am once again productive.
