Birth Announcements and Baby Showers
When my first daughter was born, my family went all out - baby showers, new nursery furniture, the works. But of course I should have expected that, considering she was the first grandchild on both sides! So when my second daughter was born, I wanted to make as big of a production. I sent out birth announcements to everyone we knew, hosted a party/baby shower, and decorated her room with a brand new theme. It’s not like I needed a big shower for the second baby of course, it’s just that I wanted her baby book to show that her birth was just as important to us as her sister’s was.
