Our Son The Musical Genius
The first time my husband heard hip hop music he quickly changed the tv channel and made it clear he didn’t like it.
We’ve always encouraged our sons to take music lessons and they play several instruments. So when our older son said he wanted to download software to produce music, we were delighted.
Not long after, a musician friend stopped by and commented on the music coming from my son’s room. We admitted it was catchy and he said it was actually pretty professional. When he asked my son how he was producing it, he said it was hip hop beats software.
Naturally, my husband preened at his genius son’s creation, and, wisely, none of us mentioned his earlier thoughts on hip hop.
