He Wanted to Be a Pilot
My exmormon dad was really disappointed when he didn’t get to be an airline pilot like he wanted to. After his pilot training in the military and getting discharged, that was his plan, but his blood pressure was too high and they had to reject him. Instead, he became a pilot instructor for a while of small planes. He took us up for a ride and it was pretty scary because I didn’t know what to expect in a small plane. But my exmormon dad was very sure of himself and put me at ease. And I’m still alive to talk about it.
