Improving windows performance even if your a Newbie
If you know nothing about the technical workings of computers like me then this is going to interest you. It was less then a year ago I found my laptop was running a lot slower then it had in the past. I couldn’t find any virus, and my spyware scanner was up to date. I assumed that there must be something going on with Windows, or a hardware error. During my research I kept reading about registry cleaner software. It seemed that this file structure inside windows (the registry) stores information about all the programs, hardware, and users on a particular machine. As we continued to use our machine the size of these files grew, and over time it could actually hinder the entire performance of my laptop. I was hesitant but I decided to give one of the popular software titles a try. I figured i didn’t have anything to lose as long as I made a backup before repairing anything. Let me tell you the scan was fast, it took all of about 5 minutes, and then I repaired all the errors the software found in under 15 minutes. So in less then 30 minutes I was enjoying a faster computer without having to leave the house. I’d become my own technician, not bad for a newbie.
