Tough Competition For Amazon’s Kindle - Are They Up For A fight?
There are an incredible number of manufacturers developing e-book readers right now. Sony, Apple, Plastic Logic, iRex, Barnes and Noble - the list goes on. Of course, they are all going to be “Kindle Killers” and make giant leaps forward - but right now the Amazon kindle reader is king of the hill, as it has been for quite some time. It’s a rapidly evolving market, and there will be improvements to come - but it doesn’t seem likely that Amazon will just stand quietly by and give up its number one slot. They have fought hard to get a 60% share of the US market and will surely have a few new tricks up their corporate sleeve.
